Richard North joined the staff of Wichita First Church in October of 2010.  He has served as Minister of Music  for 30 years in 4 states including Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee and Kansas.  He attended Trevecca Nazarene University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Church Music and Classical Guitar.

 

Richard is a family man and enjoys spending time with his family.  He and his wife, Brenda, have been married 31 years and have two children in college; son, Jeremy, and daughter, Emily.

 

Richard's priority in ministry is to focus on our Sunday morning services which he feels should lead our congregation into the presence of the Lord every week.  He directs a multi-faceted ministry at Wichita First Church that allows the people of God to be involved in several areas of service including choir, orchestra, ensembles, multi-media, drama, hand bell choir and seasonal productions.

 

Richard was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee and accepted Christ as his personal savior as a young boy.  At the age of 16 he felt the call to the ministry and began preparing himself for a lifetime of service to the Lord and His church.
