Christian Counseling Center Benefit Soup Supper & Dessert Auction  - Sunday, January 8, 6pm ~ FLC Gym

First Church of the Nazarene will host a soup supper and a dessert auction in the FLC Gym to highlight the ministry of the Christian Counseling Center. Leslie Ellis and her sons will provide special music. The Christian Counseling Center is an extension of the First Church of the Nazarene's ministry and outreach to the community. In this New Year, we will have a renewed focus on this important ministry. Many lives have been changed, relationships mended, and new hope has come to many through the CCC, both in our congregation and in the community. Many more will receive help in this New Year and beyond. Your prayer and financial support for this ministry will have a positive impact in the lives of many. The Children’s and Student’s activities are cancelled that evening so they can join us. (Nursery will be provided for birth-Kindergarten.)

“Essentials in Parenting – Be Prepared:  Equipping Kids to Face Today’s World”  starts Wednesday, January 18 @ 6:30pm in the Parlor.
This 7-session parenting class presents practical plans for dealing with serious life issues that kids and teenagers may face in today’s world.  These DVD lessons feature expert advice from different top childrearing specialists each week and is for parents of all ages.  Be Prepared before some of these issues occur or receive advice to help you get through some of the challenges of parenting.  Come to a single lesson or come to all of them- the advice you receive could be the difference in your child’s life.  Rhonda Loucks will be facilitating this powerful Focus on the Family series
