Adult Choir: Who we are & How you can be a part

Who we are:

We are a worshiping choir. We exist to minister to our great God and His people. We are discovering that corporate worship is not about the music we can play or the event we can produce. It is a living, breathing love-exchange between God and His children. We all have a vital role to play—the congregation, the pastors, musicians, technical crew—no one is exempt. To enter the full reality of what God is contending for in corporate worship, each of us must recognize our responsibility and be the type of worshiper God is seeking. (John 4:23-24)

Our goal in the choir is to answer the prophetic call God has placed on our lives (1 Sam 10:5-6). Each week, we sing and lead worship. In every offering we bring before the Lord, we strive for excellence. We desire to lead, by example, and direct people to the presence of God. Our desire is not to entertain or dazzle with a showy spectacle. We long to lift our faces in the presence of God with boldness because we are his beloved, his children. (John 1.12) We long for others to know the goodness of Christ and join us in glad adoration.

How you can be a part:

We are not an audition choir—in fact, there are many members who do not read music—READING MUSIC is NOT what this choir is about!

Our goal is to minister to God.

We believe that as He is exalted and worshipped, the Holy Spirit works to make known the glory of God.

This is a ministry group—not a performance group. We need people called to minister and lead others—your ability to sing comes second to your desire to worship God.

We meet at 7:00 pm, Wednesday nights in the choir room (located in the basement).
